Definition: Tech Stack

What is tech stack?

A tech stack, short for technology stack, is a collection of software technologies, tools, and frameworks used by a company or organization to develop and deploy software applications or digital products.

For example, the tech stack for a retail company might include a platform like Shopify or Magento for building and hosting the online store, as well as PIM software to collect, manage, and distribute product information to all channels. It might also include a CRM tool for managing customer data, such as Salesforce or HubSpot, and software for processing payments and managing shipping and fulfillment, such as PayPal or ShipStation.
